Four ways to leverage magazine advertising
It’s that time of year again!
Our much-loved Women’s Network Magazine is just weeks away from production and it’s not too late get involved.
We are here to remind you exactly how you can leverage magazine advertising, not just for your business, but your personal brand as well.
Add to your pitches to get further media coverage
These days it can be hard to stand out in the sea of stories being pitched to journalists and editors. Sharing with them publications you have been featured in helps show your credibility and paints a picture of what your business and/or your personal brand stands for.
Add your feature to your website and social media accounts
Simply including the logo of the publication you’ve been featured in on your website and social media accounts can add enormous credibility. This is effective when placed on the home page of your website and on a separate webpage titled “media’’ or “press.’’ It allows potential customers to learn more about your story through these publications.
You can also leverage your feature by creating targeted social media ads that send traffic to the article. Although this isn’t a traditional paid ad, it’s refreshing in the sense that it’s not just selling your product or service to potential customers. Instead, you’re giving them an opportunity to learn more about you and your business without a “buy now’’ or on “on sale’’ button jumping out from their screen. We know that storytelling is a powerful marketing tool, with the ability to effectively trigger emotions in your audience and with time, build brand loyalty.
Additionally, creating social media posts about your magazine feature is a great way to break up the heavy sales marketing content.
Here are some great caption ideas to share your feature in the WNA Magazine!

Content, content, content!
Once you’ve prepared an article or ad for the magazine, you can likely also use it as a blog on your website or divide it up into multiple social posts.
You can send an email to your subscriber list and discuss it during podcast or radio interviews.
Make a lasting impression
Studies have found that 71% of consumers are more likely to trust print ads than they are to trust online advertising. And unlike digital ads that come and go, magazine advertisements have a longer “shelf life’’. Use this to your advantage by making a lasting impression!
This can be achieved by utilising bold and beautiful colours that complement each other, powerful imagery and logos, and an engaging headline and copy. Most importantly, don’t be afraid to share your story and be your true authentic self.
